A big screen is the best place to plan. The web app shows your tree as columns, so you can see the path from a goal to its next step and rearrange it with a drag.

Columns you can walk through
Click a task and its subtasks open in a new column. Click one of those and another opens. Your path through the tree stays on screen, left to right, and the web address follows it, so the browser's back button and bookmarks work as you'd expect.
Drag a task to reorder it, or drop it on another task to move it inside. Hover over a task while dragging and it opens, so you can carry something deep into the tree in one go.
Quick with a keyboard
Type a task and press Enter to add it. Double-click to edit; Enter or Esc saves. Press ⌘ K (or Ctrl K) from anywhere to search every task and jump straight to it.
Make it yours
Pick an accent colour and a background, and they follow your account to any browser you sign in on. Light or dark is set per device, or follows your system.

Which browsers does it work in?
Any recent version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge, on Mac, Windows, Linux or ChromeOS. There is nothing to install.
Is there a desktop app?
No. The web app runs in your browser and works offline once it has loaded. Pin the tab and it behaves much like an app.
Is my data safe on a shared computer?
Signing out removes the local copy of your tasks from that browser.
